Dylans Awards Day June 17th
Mumbles Cricket Club confirmed as this years venue for the Junior Section presentation day - on Fathers Day June 17th

Dylan’s awards day has now been finalised, and will be held at Mumbles Cricket Club on Sunday, 17th June (Father’s day).

There will be a BBQ, stalls, bouncy castle and music. The Junior committee will be providing medals for all age groups up to and including U14s, so you don’t need to worry about organising these (if you want to do player of year or most improved, etc.etc then you will need to organise these individually). If you would like to set up your own stall in anyway (please do and let me know) then of course feel free to do so, you can keep the profits for your team, with perhaps a donation to Dylan Gunner’s charity the U8s, U9s and U10s have already pledged to run stalls (please communicate with each other on these so we don’t have doubles of the same thing). If you would like to invite your own team sponsors, then of course this would be welcomed also.

The day will be staggered but of course we would love to see everyone there all day!!! See below for your age groups time:

U6s 13.00

U7s 13.30

U8s 14.00

U9s 14.30

U10s 15.00

U11s 15.30

U12s 16.00

U13s 16.30

U14s 17.00

U15s 17.30

U16s 18.00

As most of you will be aware, Dylan Gunner was a player in the Junior section from the age of 6 until sadly he passed away in July 2015 aged 16. In August of 2012, Dylan was diagnosed with a cancerous Brain Tumour, and then with Leukaemia and fought almost a 3 year battle! In Honour of Dylan this Awards is known as Dylan’s day and some of the money raised will go to the “Dylan Gunner’s Wish” charity. I personally feel extremely privileged and proud to have been involved with Dylan for so many years, his fighting spirit has been and will always continue to be inspirational!!!

The Cricket Club have been very helpful in allowing us to use their facilities, the two things they ask, is that people buy drinks from the bar (and not bring your own) and secondly the children can run around and play anywhere but please respect the Cricket Square and keep off it.
